Just as the saying “Let the dream begin at the end.” came into the exhibition hall, the first breath of fresh air I took outside brought me back to the real world.
Paintings, tapestries, sculptures, films, and operas. The rich forms of artistic expression have kept my brain constantly receiving new stimuli, moving from one exhibition hall to another. I travel with the artist in parallel time and space, feeling his creativity and ideas.
I was surprised by the various political elements in his works. Irony or criticism, the visual impact brought to me is unlimited. It is interesting to see how Chinese features are skillfully integrated into his works. How can the model play be presented from the perspective of a South African artist? What are the differences from the red culture I usually receive? All kinds of problems welled up in my mind, and I fell into peace again.
Thanks to this artist, more than 40 years of artistic career condensed into this fantastic exhibition. It’s like a dose of soup treasure, falling into the bottom of my peaceful life, making me think and remember again.
